Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden, born on August 14, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the third of five. Their mother, Beverly (Bushfield) is a homemaker and her father Thad Harold Harden, served an active soldier. Her family often relocated. While they were in Greece the family became more interested in theater and attended Athens productions. Harden started her college studies in Europe at American institutions and then moved to the US and completed her education at the University of Texas. In 1983, Harden earned her MFA from NYU. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers hilarious satirical tribute of the 1990 gangster film, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden appeared in movies from 1986 (in The Imagemaker, a lesser-known film The Imagemaker), she was a sexy woman in the film as her debut mainstream role. Harden's beautiful portrayal of Verna who was a mysterious, attractive moll, was praised by evaluations. Harden was able to continue her steady work as an actor supporting the character, playing Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92) the biopic for television of Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
