Kristen Anne Bell is an American actress and performer born in the year 1980. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is Nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her mother is Polish and her father is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen discovered a passion in the performing arts from a young stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell, who was 13 at the time her mother enrolled as an agent was cast on TV and newspaper advertisements. Now, Bell also begins classes in acting for herself. Bell played an uncredited part of Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school, and she was awarded the role of Dorothy. Following graduation, Bell made the move into New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she learned about musical theatre. in 2001 Bell left university to portray the character of Becky on Tom Sawyer. That same year, she was in Pootie Tang, but the scene in which Bell played the role was removed. In the end, there is only a credit sequence. Bell was in Broadway in The Crucible, a revival with Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
